Ok, so I am traveling Spain and taking you with me. Not literally, although it would be nice to have some familiar faces around.  I am doing two different stages at two different Micheline Star restaurants in La Rioja, the wine country in the north.  I flew into Bilbao last week and spent a few days climatizing to my surroundings. It was an interesting time to arrive as the city was engulfed in football madness with a colossal match between Athletico Bilbao and Barcelona.  

          

    I did manage to have a few nice pinxtos before I made my way to Daroca de Rioja to meet the first chef, Ignacio Echapresto of Venta Moncalvillo where I am shadowing and helping in the kitchen. I have been taking as many notes and pictures as time allows to show you a glimpse into the kitchen of one of the most well regarded restaurants in Spain.
